
All other users (both local and remote) will have view-only access, regardless of how many Sage50cloud licenses you have. Without the multi-user Remote Data Access license only 1 user will have full access to your company data while it’s shared. A multi-user license is available for an extra fee. A single user license for Remote Data Access is included with all Sage 50cloud subscriptions. Changes that they make will be synchronized up to Sage Drive and then back down to the primary database on your computer. The data will be copied down to their local drive. Then someone that you have invited to share your data, and who has Sage 50cloud installed on their computer, can open your company from Sage Drive. When you share your Sage 50cloud data it is copied to a secure cloud server maintained by Sage.

The “cloud” is in the name because it has several cloud-based add-on features that are not available in traditional Sage 50. It is the same desktop program as the traditional Sage 50. The most important thing to know when choosing is that Sage 50cloud (also known as Sage 50c) is primarily a desktop application NOT a cloud-based program.
